Area Judgment by Binarization

1. Determine the binary level which divides an image into either white or black

Every picture element can be found in the 256 gradation sequence. By setting the threshold at some part of the gradation sequence, a picture element is categorized into either white or black according to the brightness. This is called binarization and the threshold is called the binary level.

2. Determine the inspection area with the test window

The area tool allows the user to set a window on the screen in order to detect the existence or size of the pertinent pixels within the window. Determining the "pertinent pixels in the window" is called binarization.

3. Inspection examples

Detection of missing items during packing process

Because the device captures the entire image of the container and allows the user to set multiple test windows on the image, any missing item at any position can be detected.
