Selecting lighting that is appropriate for the target is an important consideration in order to achieve stable image processing detection.

However, it is not uncommon to be forced to use multiple light sources, because desired results cannot be obtained with only a single light source. Given the diverse array of designs now available, some manufacturers change lighting conditions as they go, because their systems cannot process multiple targets using the same lighting conditions.

In order to eliminate problems associated with this type of illumination control, KEYENCE has released the world's first build-in type lighting unit, CA-DC20E, which can easily be connected to a CV-5000 image processing controller.

[World's First] CA-DC20E Light Control Expansion Unit Features:
1. No longer necessary to individually control lighting for each target using a PLC
2. Economical wiring with 24 VDC or 12VDC options
3. Ability to adjust both intermittent/continuous illumination and light intensity from the CV-5000 image controller
4. Ability to control multiple light sources from an image controller without using a PLC
